Summary
The Quality Engineer will oversee and supervise the creation of detailed layouts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Generate production control plans & PPAP documentation.
- Provide effective training on inspection techniques.
- Apply SPC to various manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Generate and complete corrective actions.
- Complete business management system and layered process audits.
- Participate in the APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) process.
- Participate in continuous improvement project efforts.
- Assist production personnel with in-process inspection of machined components.
- Assists with other quality functions as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Working knowledge of practical measuring techniques for machined components.
- CMM programming and operation experience a plus.
- Proficiency applying concepts of SPC, CPK, APQP, GD&T, and PPAPs.
- Gauge R&R.
- ISO 9001 knowledge.
- Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.
- Plex ERP experience a plus.
- Basic PC and Microsoft Office.
- Statistical analysis such as Minitab and PiWeb a plus.
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
- 1-2 years of experience working as a Quality Engineer in a production environment.
- CNC manufacturing experience a plus
This position will work out of the Urban Mfg (Pewaukee) and Oliver Mfg (Brookfield) offices.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
