- What will you do as a C.N.A.?** You will assist residents in performing activities of daily living. This requires assisting with maintaining and improving the resident's quality of life to the highest functional level.
- How does the CNA Apprenticeship work?** Thompson Health believes in the progressive approach by providing a paid job experience where candidates can eventually transition into a Certified Nursing Assistant opportunity.
- Individuals are hired as Associates of Thompson Health!
- **A High School diploma or equivalent is required or 4 years of relevant working experience.**
- Daily assessments will be provided to advance the associate through the levels of apprenticeship: beginner, intermediate, and advanced.
- It is required that the apprentice remain employed with Thompson Health for at least **one year from certification**.
- Must be willing to provide excellent care to residents
- Must have strong communication & customer service skills
- Apprentices must be team-oriented, dependable, and honest
- Must have the ability to handle unpleasant sights and odors
- Must maintain a positive attitude
- Must be empathetic, compassionate & courteous to residents
- Must commit to working every other weekend and holiday after obtaining the certification.

- Pay Rate during class:** $17.50 per hour
