What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Extern III position at Upson Regional Medical Center?
Under the direction of the RN, the Nurse Extern III performs delegated duties and responsibilities that do not require a license in assisting in the care of the patient. The Nurse Extern III is responsible for designated equipment and supplies used in the care of their assigned patients. The Nurse Extern III must accept personal responsibility for his/her performance, communication, and relations hips with other. He/she must be flexible in changing assignments and workload. The Nurse Extern III must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her assigned unit.
This position will only be available 1) until the employee is unsuccessful at their second attempt of the NCLEX examination and 2) no greater than six months after graduation.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an Associate Degree and/or Bachelor's Degree Nursing Program.
- BLS certification
