The Silvercare (Geri-Psych) Department Secretary is a dynamic position working to support the patient care efforts in the department. Specifically, the position is responsible for ordering supplies, reporting broken equipment, keeping the work areas organized and tidy, answering phones, assisting with reporting (to include payroll), arranging transportation for patients, patient chart maintenance, and serving as a back up to Mental Health Tech when required. This position will support the Director and Clinical Supervisors with any projects or assignments as needed. The Department Secretary demonstrates initiative and is cognizant of the needs of the department.
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent, BLS (within 3 months of hire), Crisis Prevention Intervention Certification (within 3 months of hire), experience with basic computer systems to include Microsoft Office products.
Desired: Experience working in a healthcare setting and experience with electronic medical record systems such as Meditech, etc.
