What are the responsibilities and job description for the Finance Operations Manager position at Upside Search?
We are partnering with a global manufacturing organization in the Duluth, GA area that is looking to hire a Cost Accounting/Operations Finance Manager for a highly visible leadership role within one of their key business divisions. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being close to the operation - partnering with manufacturing, engineering, purchasing, logistics, and finance leaders to drive cost visibility, standard costing accuracy, margin analysis, budgeting/forecasting, and operational decision-making.
This person will play a critical role in supporting manufacturing operations across multiple sites, including involvement with global product transfers, cost structure analysis, PPV, tariffs, standard cost rolls, absorption analysis, and capital investment modeling. The role also manages a small team and will work cross-functionally with teams both domestically and internationally.
What they’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 7 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong standard costing, PPV, variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and operational finance experience
- SAP experience strongly preferred
- Prior supervisory or management experience
- Experience supporting plant operations and working directly with operations leaders
- CPA or CMA is a plus, but not required
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, global manufacturing environment
This is not a “sit behind the desk and close the books” type of role. It’s a strategic, operationally focused cost accounting leadership opportunity for someone who wants to be involved in the business, influence decisions, and support a global manufacturing operation at a high level.
Salary : $150,000 - $160,000
