Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and Registered Nurses (RN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in various settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities. The LPN and RN will work under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care while adhering to established protocols and standards.
Duties
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans.
- Perform wound care, catheterization, IV insertion, and other clinical procedures.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and discharge planning.
- Educate patients and their families on health management, medication administration, and disease prevention.
- Participate in infection control measures and maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
- Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance.
Skills
Candidates should possess a range of skills that enhance their ability to provide exceptional patient care. Preferred skills include:
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks.
- Critical care experience in settings like ICU or Level I/II trauma centers.
- Proficiency in IV infusion techniques and medication administration.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and medical documentation practices.
- Experience in geriatrics, senior care, hospice care, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Knowledge of acute pain management strategies and emergency medicine protocols.
- Strong patient assessment skills with the ability to perform physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations.
- Competence in phlebotomy, specimen collection/processing, and basic life support techniques.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while demonstrating excellent communication skills.
