Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Geriatric Nursing Assistants (GNAs) to join our healthcare team in La plata, MD. As a GNA, you will provide essential hands-on care and support to patients in long-term care facilities, assisted living, and rehabilitation centers.
Responsibilities:
Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
Provide mobility support and help residents transfer safely.
Take and record vital signs, weights, and other health measurements.
Monitor residents’ conditions and promptly report any changes to the nurse or supervisor.
Support residents with emotional care and companionship.
Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment.
Follow infection control protocols and facility guidelines.
Document care provided accurately and on time.
Requirements:
Active Maryland GNA certification (required).
Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred).
At least 6 months of experience in a long-term care or healthcare setting (preferred).
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
