Duties
- Conduct detailed intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine client needs and develop personalized care plans.
- Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Implement crisis intervention techniques to support clients experiencing mental health emergencies or trauma, including PTSD care and Alzheimer's care.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate case management, medical documentation, and compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
- Engage in home visits and community outreach programs to provide home & community care services for clients with disabilities or developmental disorders like autism or Geriatrics needs.
- Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) systems for accurate data collection, documentation of medical records, treatment progress notes, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and clinical research documentation.
- Apply specialized skills in working with children with special education needs or developmental disabilities while collaborating with educational professionals when necessary.
- Conduct behavioral assessments and implement applied behavior analysis strategies tailored to individual client goals.
- Participate in ongoing training related to psychopharmacology, ICD coding updates, crisis management protocols, and new therapeutic techniques to enhance service delivery.
Experience
- Proven experience in social work or behavioral health settings with a focus on mental health counseling or clinical therapy.
- Demonstrated expertise in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, addiction counseling, or Christian counseling preferred.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, adults with disabilities—including autism spectrum disorder—and geriatrics populations is highly valued.
- Familiarity with hospital environments or clinical research settings is advantageous.
- Proficiency in EMR systems for medical documentation, data collection, patient assessment records, ICD-10/ICD-9/ICD coding practices required.
- Knowledge of crisis management procedures for mental health emergencies involving PTSD or other trauma-related conditions.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality of patient information at all times.
- Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations using ICD coding systems; experience with CPT coding is a plus.

Pay: $26.28 - $31.65 per hour
