*** Job Description *** Our center offers a variety of printing, packaging and mail services . Our strength comes, in part, from the team members that operate our location and provide excellent customer service in a retail setting. The candidate for this position will delight the customer by delivering fast friendly service, while TELLING customers about our other products & services. He/She receives and processes packages for shipment, sorts mail, operates copiers, fax machines, point-of-sale devices and (upon certification) acts as a Notary Public and Finger Printing Agent.

*** Job Requirements *** Work Monday thru' Saturday Work at our Location, occasionally on Sundays as well. Earn Notary Public and Finger Print technician certification within 90 days of joining the company Computer and internet skills.

*** Some requirements to earn Notary Public certification in CA*** Be at least 18 years old, be legal resident of california. Not have been convicted of a felony. Not have been convicted of a disqualifying misdemeanor ( see list of disqualifying offenses on the California Secretary of State website) where not more than 10 years have past since the completion of probation.

***Hours of Store Operation*** Monday thru' Fri 8.00am to 6.30pm SHORT DAY Saturday 9.00am to 5.00pm. Sunday 9.00am to 2.00pm.

*** Must Have Valid Notary Public Commission***

Center Associate delivers world-class customer service to all retail customers by receiving and processing packages for courier shipment and operating copiers, fax machines, binding equipment, laminating machines, and point-of-sale devices. The Associate expertly advises our valued customers by providing accurate information on our array of products, services, and best-value options and exhibits confidence by knowing best practices related to the industry.

The ideal candidate has previous retail sales experience, strong computer and internet skills, a high school diploma or GED, a friendly and genuinely helpful demeanor, and a professional appearance. He or she must be a fast learner who makes an effort to learn all aspects of the business in the shortest possible time.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Delivers outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and telephone inquiries
• Continuously practices good listening skills with customers, UPS Store team members, and leadership
• Takes ownership of the customer's shipping needs and offers viable solutions
• Takes action to learn all product and service offerings, alternative solutions, and industry trends
• Operates all equipment, software, and devices in an expert fashion and is willing to teach others
• Maintains a clean, organized, and safe working environment
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Able to lift 50 pounds regularly. Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Manual hand dexterity required to operate POS, printers, copiers and binding machinery, packaging tools, and complete customer paperwork.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED required
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites
• Outstanding phone skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including spelling and math
• Prompt, reliable, and responsible
• Willing and able to work Part-time/Full-time per week for a 6-day work week

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
