- You’ll provide care to diverse patient populations using Medical Nutrition Therapy, including assessments, goal setting, and individualized care plans
- You’ll serve as the nutrition expert for assigned units or committees, helping drive improvements in nutrition care processes
- You’ll collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and the broader care team to ensure the best outcomes for your patients
- As needed, you’ll ensure documentation meets outpatient billing and regulatory requirements
- You’ll identify malnutrition and develop nutrition diagnoses using Nutrition Focused Physical Assessments and established criteria
- You’ll educate and counsel patients and families, tailoring your approach to their unique needs and understanding
When needed, you’ll create written materials, presentations, and communications for a variety of audiences
- You’ll provide timely interventions based on each patient’s nutrition risk and plan of care
- You’ll participate in quality improvement efforts and help support evidence-based practices across the department
- You’ll carry out order writing in alignment with Dietitian Delegation Order protocols
