Responsibilities:
- Collaborate daily with nurses, physicians, and hospital staff to ensure safe and efficient medication delivery.
- Prepare, dispense, and label medications—including non-sterile compounds, IV admixtures, and specialty products—under pharmacist supervision.
- Maintain clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy areas; restock, inspect, and remove expired or recalled medications.
- Fill, replace, and deliver medications to automated dispensing cabinets and patient care units.
- Accurately complete all documentation for charges, medication credits, logs, and controlled substances handling.
- Assist in training new employees and pharmacy students on procedures and best practices.
- Operate pharmacy equipment, including pneumatic tube systems, automated dispensing cabinets, computers, and printers.
- Participate in departmental performance improvement initiatives.
