This individual will be responsible for the installation, repair, maintenance, and inspection of commercial plumbing systems in new construction and occupied facilities. This individual will be responsible for the installation, repair, maintenance, and inspection of commercial plumbing systems in new construction and occupied facilities. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, knowledge of Florida plumbing code, and a commitment to delivering quality service on every job.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and service commercial plumbing systems including water supply lines, sanitary drainage, storm drains, and fixtures.
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and plumbing code requirements.
- Perform cutting, threading, assembling, and installation of pipes using hand or power tools.
- Test plumbing systems for leaks and ensure compliance with applicable standards and local codes.
- Collaborate with other trades (HVAC, electrical, general construction) on-site as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of materials used, labor hours, and completed tasks.
- Follow all safety protocols including use of PPE and compliance with OSHA standards.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 3 years of commercial plumbing experience required.
- Valid Florida driver’s license.
- Florida Registered or Certified Journeyman Plumber license preferred (or ability to register with the state if required by project).
- Familiarity with Florida Building Code and plumbing inspection standards.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and technical specs.
- Comfortable using pipe-threading machines, torch, pressure gauges, and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong work ethic, dependability, and attention to detail.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in various weather conditions.
- Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, or crouch for extended periods.
