Position Summary Information
| Primary Purpose | The Associate Director/Police Lieutenant of Public Safety serves as a member of the department leadership team across three (3) campuses, assisting the Executive Director/Chief of Police in the administrative direction of the departments that supports and is consistent with the mission of the department, division, and the University: developing, enhancing, planning, implementing, and directing programs; professional ethical standards; policies, laws, and regulations; diversity, equity, and access; use of technology; facilities and equipment. Manages the budgets across three (3) campuses. |

This position serves as Campus Security Authority (CSA) as outlined by the Clery Act. CSAs have federally mandated responsibilities to report crimes that are reported them. Work Environment/Work Week/Travel Work is performed in both a general office environment and an outdoor environment that may include exposure to adverse weather conditions and to potential personal danger. Maybe required to work outside standard office hours and weekends. Valid driver's license required. Incumbent must also be able to meet the University's fleet rules and be eligible to drive for University business. The University and it's insurance carrier reserves the right to exclude applicants based on their driving record. |
| Hiring Range | $130,000 - $137,000 per year. We consider factors such as, but not limited to, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's qualifications, internal equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. |
