Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Sonographer to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including obstetric, gynecologic, and other specialized imaging procedures
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort
- Operate sonography equipment with expertise in anatomy knowledge and physiology principles
- Maintain strict aseptic technique to prevent infection and ensure patient safety
- Accurately document imaging findings and communicate results effectively to physicians
- Adhere to medical imaging protocols and maintain detailed patient records
- Assist in the interpretation of images by collaborating with medical professionals
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and cleaned according to safety standards
- Provide compassionate patient care, addressing concerns and answering questions about procedures
- Stay updated on advancements in sonography techniques and medical imaging technology
Experience
- Proven experience in sonography, with a strong background in maternal-fetal medicine or Ob/Gyn preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology relevant to diagnostic radiology
- Familiarity with aseptic technique and infection control practices in a clinical setting
- Hands-on experience with medical imaging equipment and diagnostic procedures
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare team members
- Prior experience working in a clinical environment providing patient care is highly desirable
