Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Sonographer to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures with precision and compassion, supporting patient care and contributing to accurate diagnoses. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic medical environment, utilizing advanced imaging technology to assist physicians in patient assessments. The Sonographer will be responsible for conducting high-quality imaging studies, particularly in maternal-fetal medicine and obstetrics/gynecology, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the process.

Duties

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including obstetric, gynecologic, and other specialized imaging procedures
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort
  • Operate sonography equipment with expertise in anatomy knowledge and physiology principles
  • Maintain strict aseptic technique to prevent infection and ensure patient safety
  • Accurately document imaging findings and communicate results effectively to physicians
  • Adhere to medical imaging protocols and maintain detailed patient records
  • Assist in the interpretation of images by collaborating with medical professionals
  • Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and cleaned according to safety standards
  • Provide compassionate patient care, addressing concerns and answering questions about procedures
  • Stay updated on advancements in sonography techniques and medical imaging technology

Experience

  • Proven experience in sonography, with a strong background in maternal-fetal medicine or Ob/Gyn preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology relevant to diagnostic radiology
  • Familiarity with aseptic technique and infection control practices in a clinical setting
  • Hands-on experience with medical imaging equipment and diagnostic procedures
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare team members
  • Prior experience working in a clinical environment providing patient care is highly desirable

License/Certification:

  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (Required)
