Position Summary

The Manager of Surgical Quality Programs is responsible for the strategic oversight, administration, and continuous improvement of surgical quality, patient safety, accreditation, and outcomes reporting programs across the organization. This position leads the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of quality initiatives designed to improve clinical outcomes, optimize surgical performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and support organizational quality goals.The Manager serves as a subject matter expert in surgical quality metrics and collaborates with surgeons, perioperative leadership, nursing, quality teams, data analysts, and executive stakeholders to drive evidence-based improvements in surgical care. The role oversees participation in national quality registries and accreditation programs and ensures timely, accurate collection, analysis, and reporting of surgical quality data.

Preferred Qualifications

Education

  • Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, Clinical Research, or related field.

Experience

  • Seven (7) or more years of experience in surgical quality, clinical outcomes, patient safety, or healthcare quality management.
  • Experience leading ACS NSQIP, MBSAQIP, Trauma, Oncology, or other nationally recognized surgical quality programs.
  • Experience within an academic medical center, tertiary care facility, or multi-hospital health system.
  • Experience managing quality registries and accreditation processes.

Certifications (Preferred)

  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license, if clinically applicable
  • Clinical specialty certification related to perioperative or surgical services

Salary : $55,399 - $88,088
