Position Overview:
At UT Medical, you'll join a nationally recognized healthcare team serving as a Level I Trauma Center, where physical therapists play a critical role in helping patients recover from life-altering injuries, complex surgeries, critical illnesses, and neurological conditions. This is more than a therapy position—it's an opportunity to work alongside leading physicians, nurses, and rehabilitation specialists to restore function, inspire hope, and transform lives.
Key Duties
- Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations for inpatients
- Develop and manage individualized plans of care
- Provide treatment to restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent further impairment
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, case managers, and other members of the care team
- Participate in discharge planning, patient education, and equipment recommendations
- Treat a variety of patient populations, including orthopedic, trauma, neuro, critical care, general medical, pediatric, wound care, and amputee cases as assigned
Qualifications
- Degree in physical therapy and licensure as required in Tennessee.
- Strong assessment, clinical reasoning, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment.
- Commitment to patient-centered, multidisciplinary care.
