Manages day-to-day laboratory operations while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and best practices. Works with, adapts, and installs scientific equipment in research laboratories. Develops and collaborates on routine projects and procedures. Manages inventory and equipment and performs budget functions.

Essential Functions
Individual will be responsible for collection, processing, and storage of samples such as blood, PBMCs, biopsies, surgical tissue. Manage data for all sample related experiments. Schedule sample shipments to core lab and sponsoring company. Collaborate with sponsoring company, PI and other collaborating parties. Perform mycoplasma testing and cell culture on biopsies. Perform cytokine analysis experiments (MSD) and cell culture on biopsies. Generate, manage and store all data and samples. Lastly, this person will ensure quality and compliance with Pitt EH&S and IRB.
Physical Effort
Able to lift 25lbs or less
Movement through lab, clinical and administrative spaces throughout the university
Long periods of standing
Handling of lab chemicals and biospecimens
