What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head of Investment Operations position at University of Pittsburgh?
Leads team and manages all operations related to the University’s Consolidated Endowment Fund (CEF). Directs the preparation and audit of reporting materials and prepares complex reports for senior leadership. Oversees financial and risk analyses and monitors all structural, operational, compliance, and regulatory aspects of documentation. Evaluates and advises on operational functions for investments and makes recommendations to improve processes.
Investment Office
The University of Pittsburgh’s Investment Office, which oversees the investment of the university’s $6.3 billion Consolidated Endowment Fund, is currently seeking an experienced professional to lead the team that oversees non-investment functions within the Investment Office.
The successful candidate will have experience working in an operations capacity at an asset allocator (such as an endowment or foundation) or other investment management firm and possess the ability to identify and implement industry-best practices. An advanced degree such as a JD or MBA or professional credential such as a CPA or CFA is preferred but not required.

Implementing and maintaining state-of-the-art technology systems, workflows, data analytics, and reporting.
Overseeing endowment-related aspects of the University’s annual audit.
Physical Effort
Must be able to use computer, copier, and mobile phone. May be required to travel domestically to attend meetings and conferences.
