Executes the daily activities for an assigned program area, section, or special interest group. Manages administrative tasks and logistics. Conceives and implements co-curricular programs to include budgetary preparations and evaluations.
Undergraduate Studies-Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences
The Program Coordinator will coordinate key initiatives and programming offered through the Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences Office of First-Year Programs (FP). Examples include, but are not limited to, implementing recruitment processes, instructor/student orientations, UTA/instructor pairing, and Academic Community creation and coordination. In collaboration with unit leadership, the incumbent will continually assess and refine programs to ensure program effectiveness. This position also provides administrative support for the Office of First-Year Programs, ensuring that all inquiries from prospective students, current students, parents, faculty, and advisors are addressed.
Essential Functions
Must be able to use a computer and keyboard and be able to use video communication technology (TEAMS, Zoom, etc.). Work is frequently conducted by email, phone, in-person, and/or using video communication technology. The ability to communicate in clear and concise ways is essential.
Physical Effort
While on campus, this position is generally sedentary within an office setting, however the ability to travel around campus is necessary. Must be able to use a computer and keyboard and be able to use video communication technology (TEAMS, Zoom, etc.). Work is frequently conducted by email, phone, in-person, and/or using video communication technology. The ability to communicate in clear and concise ways is essential.
