Description:The University of Notre Dame's College of Science is launching a cluster hire to fill several tenure-track faculty positions in neuroscience. These positions are part of a collaborative effort across the Departments of Chemistry and Biochemistry, Biological Sciences, and Applied and Computational Mathematics and Statistics. As part of this strategic initiative we are seeking outstanding candidates with expertise in chemical and biochemical neuroscience, broadly defined. We are particularly interested in candidates whose research program will (1) employ molecular or biochemical approaches to understand the nervous system; (2) develop new chemical tools for studying neuronal processes, signaling, or disease; or (3) explore neurodegenerative disorders, synaptic transmission, neuropharmacology through a chemical or biochemical lens.
Key Highlights:
Positions: We seek candidates at the rank of Assistant Professor, however, exceptional candidates at the Associate or Full Professor level will also be considered.
Position Duties: Successful candidates will conduct research, teach classes, and engage in service.
Research Focus: Molecular and biochemical neuroscience; Chemical biology approaches for studying the nervous system; Pharmacological tools targeting neural pathways and disease states.
Collaborative Environment: Join a vibrant, interdisciplinary community within the College of Science, with access to state-of-the-art facilities and numerous Centers and Institutes. Opportunities for collaboration with the NIH-funded Indiana Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute (CTSI) are also available.

Qualifications:
