Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit
Position Summary
We are seeking a Marketing Automation Specialist to join our Digital Innovation team. This role is designed for a Salesforce Marketing Cloud enthusiast who enjoys the intersection of technical administration and creative implementation.As a junior administrator, you will provide the technical backbone for our automated campaigns, ensuring our various internal departments can leverage the platform’s full potential. You will focus on increasing system adoption, troubleshooting technical hurdles, and providing the “creative bridge” needed to help teams develop content that scales through automation.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Platform Administration & Support
- Act as a junior system administrator for the Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) platform, overseeing user permissions, business unit management, and general system hygiene.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting technical issues, data extension errors, and email deliverability concerns.
- Monitor overall platform health to ensure high standards of data integrity and performance.
Automation & Journey Management
- Partner with internal teams to design, build, and launch sophisticated Automated Journeys and triggered messaging sequences.
- Implement personalization strategies using dynamic content blocks and AMPscript.
- Leverage data-driven insights to help teams optimize their audience segmentation and engagement workflows.
Training & Technical Empowerment
- Lead training sessions to help staff transition from basic email sends to advanced SFMC features like Journey Builder and Behavioral Triggers.
- Develop internal “best practice” documentation and tutorials to empower decentralized users.
Content Strategy & Implementation
- Overcome Content Bottlenecks: Assist departments with the development and formatting of content to ensure automated journeys can be implemented effectively.
- Maintain a library of reusable, brand-aligned email templates that offer flexibility for different departmental needs.
- Support the creation of landing pages and cloud pages to drive digital engagement.
Management Preferences
1–3 years of hands-on experience within Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Proficiency in Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and Email Studio.
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS for email template adjustments.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
