Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Utility Worker to support daily kitchen and cafeteria operations. This role is essential in maintaining cleanliness, organization, and efficiency in a fast-paced food service environment.
Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment
- Stock refrigerators and freezers with items such as beverages, fruit, ice cream, and other products as directed
- Sweep and mop kitchen and cafeteria floors
- Clean and sanitize tables and work surfaces
- Take out garbage and operate trash compactor
- Remove and manage cardboard boxes and recycling
- Clean and organize refrigerators and storage areas
- Receive and properly store deliveries
- Put away clean dishes and supplies in designated areas
- Maintain assigned work areas according to established standards and training
- Assist with catering setup and breakdown as needed
- Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines
Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs or more
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods
- Strong attention to cleanliness and organization
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Flexible and willing to assist with various tasks as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or kitchen environments is a plus, but not required
