The University of Maine at Farmington is seeking a dynamic and organized Administrative Specialist CL2 to join our team. This key, full-time position is based in the Merrill Center, the central hub for student services and administrative operations on our campus.
This role provides essential support for the daily operations of our central departments and serves as the primary point of contact for students, faculty, and staff.
Key Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
- Front-Line Communication: Serving as a primary point of contact for the office, managing a full range of communications (in-person, phone, and email) regarding non-routine questions, issues, and procedures.
- Problem-Solving: Handling complex and sensitive student, family, and staff requests with professionalism and discretion, requiring a comprehensive understanding of relevant university policies, FERPA, and other rules.
- Administrative & Project Coordination: Planning and coordinating projects, meetings, and events
- Departmental Support: Providing a high level of administrative support to department leadership, including calendar management, processing forms (e.g., requisitions, travel vouchers), and maintaining organized digital and physical records.

Pay & Benefits:
This Administrative Specialist position will pay a starting rate of $19.61/hour for a new hire or the appropriate transfer rate for a current employee with the University of Maine System. This is a full-time, in-person position on our beautiful Farmington campus.
