The Director of Organizational Development and Talent Management provides strategic and collaborative leadership for the talent management and organizational development programs and initiatives across the University’s Libraries, partnering with Libraries leadership to align program strategy with organizational goals and values. This role supports a dynamic workforce of librarians, staff, and student employees, fostering a culture of continuous learning.

- Administers a complex center or multiple departments.
- Manages budget and engages in strategic planning to ensure all goals are met.
- Hires and directs the activities of staff.
- Resolves personnel issues as they arise.
- Engages in budget-planning, grant oversight, and policy development.
- Implements new programs and projects and monitors ongoing activities of department or center.
- Reviews department policies and processes and implements improvements as needed.
- Represents department or center to internal and external constituents.
- Performs other job-related duties as required.

Duties Specific To This Position
- Manage year-round librarian (faculty) and staff recruitment program, averaging 15-18 searches per year
- Collaborate with Faculty Affairs and Human Resources to advance the recruitment and hiring goals of the Libraries
- Assists Dean and Associate Deans in effective stewardship and management of the $8.5 million personnel budget
- Facilitate employee onboarding, performance evaluation, coaching, and documentation processes
- Develop, implement, and monitor training and professional enrichment programs for Libraries employees
- Assist the Dean and Associate Deans in the strategic implementation of organizational decisions, which may include drafting and reviewing policies, implementing improvements to processes, and creating and documenting workflows
- Communicate and interpret university and Libraries recruitment, personnel, and performance policies, guidelines, and procedures and serve as point of contact for employee questions
- Coordinate with relevant campus units on personnel issues such as FML, EOS, position reclassifications, and ePerformance
- Collaborate with the College Business Administrator on matters pertaining to human resources and finance workflows and policies
- Experience coordinating nationwide faculty and/or librarian recruitment efforts
- Experience in budget and project management
- Superb organizational and communication skills
- Experience with Peoplesoft, Concur, PageUp, and Qualtrics
- Discovery Insights Practitioner License
