Job Description

Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care. Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams; carries out established nursing procedures and performs related duties as required; performs nursing care for patients with more complex needs with assistance and supervision. Assists with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team. 

Qualifications Required Qualifications: - A minimum of five years recent RN experience in Pediatric Critical Care (PICU, NICU or Peds CICU). Minimum level 3 NICU. - This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations Preferred Qualifications: - BSN - Pediatric CCRN - Experience in two or more Pediatric Critical Care areas (NICU, PICU or PCICU) Required Licenses/Certifications: - Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California. - Current healthcare provider CPR certification - Current healthcare provider PALS certification - Current healthcare provider NRP certification License / Certification Basic Life Support, Neonatal Resuscitation Program, Pediatric Advanced Life Supp, Registered Nurse About UCSF The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) is a leading university dedicated to promoting health worldwide through advanced biomedical research, graduate-level education in the life sciences and health professions, and excellence in patient care.
