Job Description
The Department of Pathology, Division of Laboratory Medicine, at the University of Alabama at Birmingham is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Commission on Accreditation in Clinical Chemistry (ComACC) trained clinical chemist (PhD) or pathologist (MD or MD/PhD) at the open rank of Assistant/Associate Professor.
Required Qualifications
In this role, the individual should either already have established national or international recognition in clinical chemistry or exhibit significant potential and motivation to establish an academic career in this field. The ideal candidate must have a strong interest in diagnostic stewardship and lab test utilization, with excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be passionate about providing a wide array of services in Clinical Chemistry including mass spectrometry and protein electrophoresis interpretation.

Additional expectations include medical student, resident, and fellow education.
