Apartment Maintenance Technician
Overview
We’re looking for a reliable and skilled Apartment Maintenance Technician to help maintain the overall condition, safety, and appearance of our apartment community. This is a hands-on role responsible for completing service requests, supporting unit turns, and ensuring residents have a safe and comfortable place to live.
What You’ll Do
- Complete daily service requests including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repairs
- Assist with unit turns, including repairs, inspections, and getting apartments move-in ready
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and building systems
- Monitor the community for safety issues and address them quickly
- Maintain grounds as needed, including trash pickup and general upkeep
- Troubleshoot and repair items such as doors, locks, fixtures, lighting, and flooring
- Assist with pool maintenance and common area upkeep
- Help move appliances and equipment as needed
- Track inventory and report supply needs
- Work with the team to meet deadlines and maintain community standards
- Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies
What We’re Looking For
- At least 1 year of maintenance experience (apartment or related field preferred)
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, with a strong sense of ownership and urgency
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Work Environment
- Combination of indoor and outdoor work in all weather conditions
- Physically active role (lifting, climbing, bending, etc.)
- Full-time schedule with an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies
