Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all areas of the facility
- Handle chemical agents safely while using cleaning supplies and equipment, following all safety protocols and handling procedures
- Operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and other custodial equipment to maintain floors and surfaces in pristine condition
- Conduct sanitation of restrooms, kitchens, and common areas ensuring compliance with health standards
- Assist with light maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, minor repairs, or painting as needed
- Follow safe lifting practices when handling heavy cleaning equipment or supplies to prevent injury
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when stock is low or needs replenishment
Qualifications
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and chemical handling safety procedures
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment including floor buffers and other custodial tools effectively
- Strong manual handling skills with an emphasis on safe lifting practices for heavy items or equipment
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards
