Job Description
McLean Rae Janitorial is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Janitorial Technician to provide weekly cleaning services for a Virginia state government office in Marion, VA.
This position is ideal for someone looking for supplemental income with a consistent weekly schedule. All cleaning supplies, equipment, and training will be provided.
Work Schedule
- One cleaning per week
- Approximately 2.5–3.5 hours per visit
- Evening hours after normal business operations or weekends
- Flexible scheduling within contract requirements
Responsibilities
- Empty trash and replace liners
- Vacuum carpeted areas
- Sweep and mop hard floors
- Clean and sanitize restrooms
- Clean breakroom/kitchenette
- Dust furniture, desks, and surfaces
- Clean interior glass
- Restock supplies as needed
- Lock and secure the facility after cleaning
- Report maintenance or safety concerns
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently
- Strong attention to detail
- Dependable attendance
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- Previous janitorial experience preferred but not required
Background Check
Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a criminal background check in accordance with the requirements of the Commonwealth of Virginia contract.
