Responsibilities
- Cleaning building, completing laundry, stocking supplies, and preparing food for clients
- Respond to calls and provide front desk coverage
- Completes safety rounding to maintain therapeutic, secure, and safe environment for patients/visitors/staff including enforcement of rules.
- Accurately documents safety rounds.
- Intervenes appropriately and therapeutically in crisis situations using crisis intervention preventions and trauma informed care.
- Demonstrate competence in recognizing and responding to patients physical, mental, emotional and developmental needs utilizing crisis prevention intervention and trauma informed care.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Possession of a valid Class “D” Iowa driver’s license or an equivalent license from the employee’s state of residence.
- CPR
- CPI (Crisis Prevention and Intervention) training, initial & yearly renewal
- Knowledge of proper food handling and preparation.
- Mental health or substance disorder experience preferred.
