We’re seeking a Patient Access Representative to support a smooth, accurate, and welcoming experience for patients and visitors. This role plays a key role in patient admission, registration, insurance verification, and scheduling, ensuring every interaction is efficient and compliant with financial and insurance requirements.
Key Responsibilities & Skills:
- Accurately collect, analyze, and record demographic, insurance, financial, and clinical data in the system, ensuring all required documentation is complete
- Maintain strong knowledge of insurance plans and verification processes
- Answer and route phone calls professionally; take accurate messages
- Educate patients on financial obligations, including point of service (POS) collections and estimates
- Assist with patient self-service registration processes service registration processes. service registration processes.
- Monitor and manage multiple work queues to ensure timely workflow
- Refer patients who need financial assistance with their clinic/hospital bills to a Financial Advocate
- Schedule walk in procedures and collaborate with central scheduling regarding other needs
