Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain assigned patient care and hospital areas according to established standards.
- Respond promptly to cleaning needs and unexpected spills to support a safe environment.
- Collect, transport, and dispose of waste materials following safety and infection prevention guidelines.
- Inspect and maintain cleaning equipment and report repair or maintenance needs.
- Help identify and report facility maintenance concerns to support hospital operations.
- Follow infection prevention, safety, and personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols.
- Participate in required training, education, and competency programs.
- Support emergency response efforts as needed during hospital incidents or emergencies.
- Provide friendly, professional service to patients, visitors, and coworkers.
- Work collaboratively with team members to promote a positive and welcoming environment.
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must have a valid Iowa Driver’s License
- Ability to read, write and speak English
