- The Courier position picks up and delivers specimens according to LEAN standards, reports, and supplies by prescribed schedule and route to clients and customers in compliance with universal precautions, blood born pathogen guidelines, and Department of Transportation Biological Specimen Transportation rules.

Responsibilities
Transports specimens, supplies, parcels, and written communication between Health System divisions and throughout the Des Moines area while driving a licensed vehicle. Loads, unloads, and transports materials between the hospital and the Health System clients.
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent. A valid driver's license is required but a commercial driver's license (CDL) is preferred. Must be able to lift and carry 40lbs or more for a distance of 100 ft. Must be able to withstand extended periods of walking and driving.
