The Assistant Nurse Manager has accountability for the clinical and administrative leadership of the assigned patient care area under the Nurse Manager. The position assures the delivery of quality patient care and accomplishment of the goals and objectives of the UnityPoint Health Meriter system. The Assistant Nurse Manager assists the Nurse Manager in the control, coordination and evaluation of human, material and fiscal resources in the assigned patient care area. The Assistant Nurse Manager is responsible for promoting a collaborative environment in which excellence in patient care can be delivered.

Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing. Candidates without BSN may be considered on a case by case basis and should be enrolled in a program with a completion date within 24 months.
- 3 years of nursing experience
- Licensure or eligible for licensure as RN in State of Wisconsin
- BLS
- Strong Communication Skills
- MSN (MSN not required but highly recommended that graduate degree be pursued - MS in Business or Health Related field will be considered, if BSN background)
- Previous management and labor relations experience
- ANCC specialty certification in area of practice
