Business Development Representative

POSITION SUMMARY

The Business Development Specialist is responsible for developing and maintaining professional relationships within the community to increase awareness of Unity Recovery Centers, LLC and the treatment services offered by the organization.

This position serves as a professional representative of the organization and works to establish relationships with referral sources, community partners, healthcare professionals, treatment providers, hospitals, behavioral health organizations, court and legal professionals, and other individuals or organizations that may assist people in accessing appropriate substance use disorder treatment and recovery services.

The Business Development Specialist works closely with Admissions, Clinical, and Leadership teams to support appropriate referrals, facilitate access to services, and promote the organization's mission while maintaining professional, ethical, and confidential practices.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and maintain positive professional relationships with current and potential referral sources.
• Identify opportunities to establish new referral relationships and community partnerships.
• Conduct outreach to hospitals, treatment facilities, behavioral health providers, physicians, therapists, counselors, community organizations, courts, attorneys, probation and parole professionals, and other appropriate referral sources.
• Educate community partners and referral sources regarding the programs, services, admission criteria, and resources available through Unity Recovery Centers.
• Maintain regular communication and follow-up with referral sources.
• Represent Unity Recovery Centers professionally at community meetings, networking events, conferences, outreach activities, and other appropriate events.
• Coordinate with the Admissions Department regarding potential referrals and individuals seeking treatment.
• Assist referral sources with understanding the admissions process while ensuring that clinical and admission decisions remain with the appropriate qualified staff.
• Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, contacts, referrals, meetings, and follow-up efforts.
• Provide leadership with updates regarding business development activities, referral trends, community needs, and opportunities for growth.
• Assist with the development and implementation of outreach and business development strategies.
• Maintain current knowledge of the organization's programs and services to ensure accurate information is provided to referral sources.
• Develop a professional understanding of community resources and other levels of care so individuals can be directed appropriately when necessary.
• Maintain professional boundaries with clients, prospective clients, families, referral sources, and community partners.
• Protect confidential and sensitive information and comply with applicable confidentiality requirements, including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 when applicable.
• Conduct all marketing, outreach, and referral activities ethically and in accordance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, accreditation requirements, and organizational policies.
• Never offer, provide, request, or accept improper compensation, gifts, incentives, or anything of value in exchange for patient referrals.
• Avoid misleading statements, guarantees regarding treatment outcomes, or inappropriate promises to clients, families, or referral sources.
• Maintain the professional reputation and integrity of Unity Recovery Centers at all times.
• Work collaboratively with Admissions, Clinical, Operations, Human Resources, and Leadership as needed.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and other organizational activities as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned that support the mission and operations of the organization.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
