Job Summary

Duties

• Under the direct supervision of the CEO and Program Director, the detox program LBHP is responsible for overseeing all required detox therapeutic clinical documentation. This includes consumer intakes, peer reviews, any clinical assessment tool implementation, utilization and training, clinical staff supervision, compliance with regulatory standards, and quality assurance for individuals with substance use disorders undergoing medical detox and services within Unity Recovery Center’s scope of practice.

The therapist must be responsive and communicative with Unity Recovery Center’s leadership team to ensure timely coordination of the ASI and ASAM assessments upon patient intake. In the event the working agreement becomes unfeasible for any reason, the therapist is expected to provide reasonable notice so that appropriate coverage can be arranged and client care is not disrupted.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or higher in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or a related mental health field from an accredited institution.
• Valid licensure or certification as required by state law (e.g., LPC, LCSW, LMFT) with active clinical practice license.
• Demonstrated experience working with children, adolescents or adults in outpatient or inpatient settings; hospital experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in evidence-based therapies including CBT, psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, addiction counseling, grief counseling, chronic pain counseling or related modalities.
• Strong skills in crisis intervention and crisis management techniques with the ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly and effectively.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for diagnostic classification; CPT coding knowledge is preferred for billing processes.
• Excellent medical terminology understanding coupled with meticulous medical record keeping aligned with HIPAA standards.
• Ability to provide telehealth services confidently using secure digital platforms; prior telehealth experience is advantageous.
• Knowledge of social work principles along with experience in case management and patient assessment processes.
• Strong communication skills combined with a compassionate approach that fosters trust and rapport with clients of diverse backgrounds. Pay: $62,498.73 - $75,267.29 per year
