Overnight Counselor (Part-Time, 30 Hours/Week – Friday–Sunday, 10:00 PM–8:00 AM)

Unity House of Troy is seeking a compassionate and reliable Part-Time Overnight Counselor to support residents living with mental health challenges at our 12th Street location. This weekend position (Friday–Sunday) offers 30 hours per week, is benefit-eligible, and includes a pro-rated sign-on bonus.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide single-staff coverage in a residential setting supporting adults living with mental health issues.
- Offer supportive counseling and assist residents as needs arise.
- Provide service coordination and supervise medication in accordance with program guidelines.
- Offer crisis intervention and emergency assistance when needed.
- Ensure the safety, security, and overall functioning of the facility during overnight hours.
- Complete nightly safety routines and checklists, including monthly fire drills and house inventory.
- Perform light cleaning tasks; light lifting may be required.
- Foster an environment of inclusion, respect, and belonging for all residents.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- At least 1 year of experience working with individuals with mental health needs.
- Responsible, reliable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to work weekend rotations consistently.
