Unity House of Troy, Inc. is seeking an experienced, compassionate Program Director of Behavioral Health Services to lead our team and oversee clinical operations. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated behavioral health professional to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals living with serious mental illness and co-occurring disorders.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical and administrative oversight of program operations and clinical staff.
- Ensure compliance with Medicaid, fee-for-service billing requirements, regulatory standards, and agency policies.
- Supervise, mentor, and support staff to promote effective service delivery and professional growth.
- Promote best practices in recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, and person-centered care.
- Monitor service utilization, clinical documentation, and billing practices to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
- Lead staff meetings, training sessions, and performance evaluations.
- Monitor program outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and client recovery.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with community partners, state agencies, and other stakeholders to support coordinated care.
- Promote an inclusive environment grounded in respect, dignity, and belonging.
- Respond to emergencies and provide after-hours support to staff as needed.
- Maintain some direct client contact while primarily focusing on program leadership, supervision, and administration.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
- New York State LMSW, LCSW, or LMHC license strongly preferred.
- Two to four years of supervisory and/or administrative experience in a behavioral health setting.
- Experience working with individuals with serious mental illness, co-occurring disorders, and complex service needs.
- Knowledge of Medicaid, fee-for-service billing, clinical documentation, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Strong leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to lead a team, manage competing priorities, and support high-quality clinical services.
- Valid New York State driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to respond to emergencies and provide after-hours support as needed.
