Duties & Responsibilities
Rural Outreach & Partnerships
- Build relationships with key contacts in rural communities to expand awareness of 2-1-1 services.
- Develop outreach materials and partnership tools that help local organizations share United Way resources.
- Maintain organized contact and partnership tracking systems for long-term collaboration. Community Research & Resource Mapping
- Conduct outreach and interviews in rural communities to identify service gaps and existing resources.
- Create community profiles, resource maps, and summaries to guide future outreach efforts.
- Identify trends and recommend ways United Way programs can better meet community needs. 2-1-1 Training & Capacity Building
- Develop simple guides and training materials that teach partners how to use the 2-1-1 website.
- Pilot and refine training resources with community partners and centers.
- Create sustainable tools that improve long-term access to community services.
- Ability to manage outreach and research projects independently within a 10-week timeframe
- Valid Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for travel to rural community sites during working hours
- Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and willingness to learn new systems and databases
- Ability to engage effectively with diverse communities and community partners
- Experience in community outreach, research, nonprofit work, or public service is a plus
- Interest in rural community development and expanding access to essential resources
- Spanish language skills are a plus
- Schedule:* 40 hours/week
- Duration:* June 1st -- August 9th
