Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead the development and oversight of high-performing door-to-door sales teams focused on promoting and selling water softener systems. In this role, you will be responsible for building teams from the ground up, driving sales strategies, and ensuring consistent revenue growth through direct, in-home sales efforts. This position is ideal for a motivated leader with a proven track record in field sales management, particularly in home improvement or consumer goods sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Building and Recruitment: Identify, recruit, and onboard top talent to form effective door-to-door sales teams, including sales representatives and support staff. Develop training programs to equip team members with product knowledge, sales techniques, and compliance standards.
- Sales Strategy and Oversight: Design and implement door-to-door canvassing strategies, territory mapping, and lead generation tactics to maximize outreach and conversion rates for water softener products. Monitor team performance through KPIs such as sales quotas, conversion rates, and customer satisfaction metrics.
- Performance Management: Conduct regular coaching sessions, performance reviews, and motivational initiatives to foster a high-energy sales environment. Address underperformance promptly and celebrate successes to maintain team morale.
- Compliance and Operations: Ensure all sales activities adhere to local regulations, ethical standards, and company policies, including proper handling of customer data and contracts. Oversee logistics such as scheduling, route optimization, and inventory management for demonstration kits.
- Reporting and Analysis: Track sales data, generate reports on team productivity, and provide insights to senior leadership to refine strategies and achieve revenue targets.
- Customer Focus: Promote a customer-centric approach, emphasizing the benefits of water softeners (e.g., improved water quality, appliance longevity, and cost savings) to drive repeat business and referrals.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred); equivalent experience considered.
- 5 years of experience in sales management, with at least 2 years in door-to-door or direct sales environments, ideally in home services, utilities, or consumer products.
- Proven ability to build and lead teams, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate diverse teams and build rapport with customers.
- Proficiency in sales CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, SalesRabbit), Microsoft Office Suite, and data analysis.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within assigned territories.
