What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Developer position at United Veterans Construction and Landscape Solutions, Inc?
The Business Development Manager builds and maintains client relationships. Creates new client relationships by locating, developing, defining, negotiating and closing new business. Maintains current client relationships by continuing customer service throughout. Works with operations to ensure client and UVETS’ expectations and understanding are parallel. Plans, creates and maintains policies, strategies and objectives for the business development department. Works with all team members with courtesy and respect to maintain UVETS' atmosphere and values.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Demonstrate superior customer service by meeting with clients and vendors
- Prepare weekly progress reports for supervisor
- Keep supervisor briefed on all contract bids and customer service issues
- Ensure all estimates are prepared and approved by supervisor prior to client proposal
- Present proposals in a clear, concise and professional manner and according to company’s standard
- Track all in progress proposals and follow-up with active or potential clients in a timely manner to maximize sales opportunities
- Acquire thorough industry knowledge and trends to identify and act upon opportunities for expanded services
- Develop and maintain long-term client relationships that lead to contract renewals, superior client ratings, and a profitable relationship
- Understand business development metrics and strive to achieve personal and professional goals
