United Veterans Construction and Landscape Solutions, Inc. is seeking a skilled, dependable, and safety-focused Fleet Maintenance Specialist (FMS) – Small Engine Mechanic to support our growing operations. This role is essential to maintaining the reliability and performance of our fleet of landscaping and construction equipment, helping our field teams deliver exceptional service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial landscaping and construction equipment, including:
- Commercial zero-turn and walk-behind mowers
- Trimmers and edgers
- Chainsaws
- Blowers
- Generators
- Other small-engine and power equipment
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles, trailers, and equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and fuel system issues.
- Complete repairs accurately and efficiently to minimize equipment downtime.
- Maintain detailed maintenance records and equipment service logs.
- Manage parts inventory and coordinate equipment repairs as needed.
- Ensure all equipment meets company safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance facility.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience repairing and maintaining small engines and commercial landscaping equipment.
- Knowledge of gasoline and diesel engine systems.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative team environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record preferred.
- Technical certification in Small Engine Repair, Automotive Technology, Diesel Technology, or a related field is a plus.
Military Experience Welcome
Experience gained through military occupational specialties involving vehicle maintenance, mechanical repair, equipment operations, logistics, engineering, or maintenance management is highly valued and may be directly applicable to this role. Candidates with equivalent military training and experience are encouraged to apply.
