What are the responsibilities and job description for the HCHV Driver position at UNITED VETERANS BEACON HOUSE, INC.?
PURPOSE
Drivers are responsible for transporting program participants from our agency locations to necessary appointments in a timely and efficient manner. They may also be asked to transport cargo, supplies, and other items between agency locations at the discretion of Management.
REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 18 years or age or above
- Valid Driver’s License
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Providing transportation on a daily basis to UVBH residents.
- Providing transportation for community-based activities as needed.
- Keeping the inside of the van clean at all times.
- Performing pre and post trip check list.
- Ensuring the van is washed, when needed.
- Reporting any damage or maintenance needed on company vehicles to Headquarters.
- Overseeing the client interactions and address any incidents or issues that occur doing transport and providing conflict resolution as needed.
- Assuring the safety and well-being of all residents as well as making sure they adhere to all vehicle rules.
- Knowing and abiding by facility guidelines and appropriate policies and procedures of all programs.
- Attends trainings, workshops, staff, and house meetings as required.
