PURPOSE
Housekeeping performs a variety of duties to upkeep and maintain the cleanliness and safety of the emergency shelter. This position will be focused on one property containing three buildings. The purpose of this position is to create a clean and orderly environment for the program clients.

REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Experience as a Cleaner or Housekeeper.
- Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance.
- Ability to push/pull a housekeeping cart.
- Stand, walk, or kneel for an extended period.
- Lift or move heavy objects like mattresses or chairs.
- Cleaning clients’ rooms after discharge.
- Cleaning common areas including laundry and cafeteria spaces.
- Cleans offices weekly.
- Replacing dirty linens and towels.
- Organizing and stocking housekeeping carts.
- Notifying the maintenance team about broken appliances or other items to be fixed.
- Upholding the program’s confidentiality and security requirements.
