You step in to strip damaged copper windings, rewind precise coils with insulated copper wire, insulate and secure every turn, and solder/weld connections. After reassembly, you validate performance—checking voltage, resistance, and balance—ensuring the unit runs correctly and production stays on schedule. Between urgent calls, you assist with inspections and maintenance to prevent the next outage.

Working conditions
- Assignments span multiple mill areas; conditions can be hot, cold, dirty, greasy, wet, and noisy.
- Work with or around hot, heavy, or sharp materials and hazardous chemicals.
- At times, work may be performed in close proximity to molten metal.
- Manual tasks include lifting more than 25 lbs.
