Job Description
The Manufacturing Plant Manager will oversee the development and operations of a new 16-acre facility in Farmington, New Mexico. In this role, the manager will lead a newly formed team to ensure performance, quality, and safety.
Responsibilities
- Lead the setup of the new facility and oversee hiring and training of a workforce of 10-20 employees
- Develop and maintain specifications, procedures, and quality standards for the plastic lining of steel pipe
- Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers for materials and technologies
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and client teams to ensure products meet performance and project requirements
- Oversee technicians and provide mentorship to junior staff
- Drive innovation in pipeline products and remain current with industry standards and best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical experience in materials and manufacturing
- 10 years of experience in a related engineering field
- Facility management experience
- Knowledge of plastic and pipe materials, and industry standards
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve performance issues
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Excellent documentation, communication, and client-facing skills
