United provides our services to clients across the United States and has also worked in more than 30 countries worldwide.​  

Job Description 
United is seeking to employ a dedicated Safety Manager who will lead safety programs across United’s projects and manufacturing facilities. This role will be focused on ensuring compliance with client and governmental regulations, promoting and supporting a strong company wide safety culture, and protecting the health and wellbeing of our employees and contractors. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety policies and procedures aligned with OSHA, DOT, EPA, DISA, FMCSA, and relevant international standards across all operations.
  • Lead safety management for field projects and manufacturing operations, ensuring consistent application and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards, ensure corrective actions, and verify effectiveness through follow-up.
  • Investigate safety incidents and lead root cause analysis; implement corrective and preventive measures.
  • Design and deliver safety training programs, including onboarding, hazard recognition, emergency response, and ongoing safety education.
  • Monitor and report safety metrics via KPIs; analyze trends to drive continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate emergency preparedness drills, develop response plans, and ensure readiness across all sites.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to develop and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with safety considerations.
  • Manage safety signage, barriers, and communication strategies to reinforce safe practices.
  • Supervise and mentor safety coordinators, ensuring consistent safety program execution across multiple locations.
  • Maintain all safety records, licenses, and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee PPE programs, including inventory management, issuance, and compliance with company policies.
  • Promote a safety-first culture through leadership, engagement, and ongoing safety recognition initiatives.
  • Stay informed on industry best practices, emerging regulations, and advancements in safety management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Safety Management, or related field (preferred).
  • 7 years of safety management experience in construction, manufacturing, or industrial environments.
  • Proven knowledge of OSHA, DISA, FMCSA, EPA, and other relevant safety standards.
  • Experience managing safety programs across multiple sites, with demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret safety data and KPIs for program improvements.
  • Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% to project sites.
  • Certification in OSHA 30-hour/ OSHA 500-hour or equivalent; CSP or ASP preferred.

Salary

$80,000 – $120,000 per year, based on experience.
