What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Engineer position at United Pharma?
We are seeking a Project Engineer to support capital and operational projects within a pharmaceutical/biotech manufacturing environment. This role involves hands-on field execution, equipment support, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute projects involving process equipment (tanks, heat exchangers, boilers)
- Read and interpret P&IDs for troubleshooting and system modifications
- Coordinate line breaks, tie-ins, and system changes in live production
- Support LOTO procedures and ensure safe field execution
- Perform walkdowns, troubleshooting, and equipment improvements
- Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, EHS, and Quality teams
- Support documentation updates (P&IDs, SOPs, change controls)
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering or related field
- 2–5 years in pharma, biotech, or regulated manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of process equipment and P&IDs
- Hands-on experience in field operations and safety practices (LOTO)
- GMP environment exposure and project coordination experience
