Quality Control Manager - Precast - Prestressed Concrete

▪ Provides management and leadership for the Quality Control Department

▪ Oversees staff recruitment, hiring, evaluation, disciplinary actions, and development, including ACI and PCI certifications

▪ Ensures products meet company standards and are produced within acceptable industry-recognized tolerances

▪ Maintains plant PCI certification

▪ Maintains and keeps the plant’s Quality Systems Manual current

▪ Ensures the processes outlined in the Quality Systems Manual are followed daily

▪ Performs quality audits as required in the Quality Systems Manual

▪ Assists in developing and continually improving Quality Control processes and methods, including providing input on manufacturing improvements

▪ Ensures the color-dot/tagging method for identifying product status (as outlined in the Quality Systems Manual) is implemented and followed

▪ Maintains product and concrete quality files by job

▪ Maintains the plant defect tracking system and communicates the impact of process changes on defect rates

▪ Facilitates quality control meetings and participates in scheduling meetings

▪ Oversees concrete mix designs and the quality of concrete, structural and reinforcing steel, and steel embedments

▪ Manages the Quality Control Department budget and R&D program

▪ Ensures QC equipment is properly maintained and equipment calibrations are current

▪ Adheres to all company and OSHA safety rules and regulations
