United CoolAir, LLC is an original equipment manufacturer of HVAC equipment, and we have been serving our customers for over 30 years. We are looking for high energy, enthusiastic team members with a desire for growth and success to join our legacy and contribute to our continued success for years to come. We are looking for an Brazer to join our team at our York, PA facility. This position is in our production facility, it is a full-time position with the prospect of growing within the organization. Typical hours are Monday to Thursday 5:00 am to 3:30 pm, overtime may be required when necessary to meet commitment dates.
Job summary
As a Brazer you will utilize various skills to produce high quality commercial HVAC equipment and meet the needs of your customers. You will assemble a variety of components, subassemblies which may / will start from basic components to a completed piece of equipment with quality inspections built into each step.
Responsibilities/daily tasks
- Perform assigned product manufacturing and or brazing responsibilities.
- Perform brazing operations to join metal components using various brazing techniques and materials.
- Clean, degrease, and properly prepare surfaces to be brazed, ensuring optimal adhesion.
- Assemble parts in preparation for brazing, ensuring components are aligned and properly fitted.
- Use a variety of hand, power and or pneumatic tools to complete the assembly and or system within the customer equipment.
- Fabricate tubing using tube bending equipment. Following drawings and schematics for dimensional requirement.
- Perform in-process checks and inspections throughout the process.
- Complete shop paperwork / records to ensure that equipment is being built in accordance with the manufacturing / customer requirements.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Comply with the safety regulations and properly utilize personal protective equipment.
- Abide by all internal United CoolAir polices to foster a safe, efficient, and exciting work environment.
- Work with your manufacturing lead and team to meet scheduled deadlines.
- Collaborate with various departments when necessary to provide the highest quality product to your customers.
- Suggest process improvements to enhance brazing efficiency, product quality, and overall productivity.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous work experience in a fast paced, and dynamic manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication Skills.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Experience and ability to work in a team setting.
- Ability to work successfully with multiple business functions of an organization.
- An entrepreneurial, self-motivated, positive individual who can think innovatively.
